I just installed the DocGen on Windows 8.1 and I was running the application
Than I was able to login to the DocGen
But the controls of the DocGen were disabled and I could not see the list of work items types.
That result error during the production of a document.

Installation
Reinstall the latest version of the DocGen application. To install the add-in:
1.  Go to Admin section.
2.  Click on “QPack Docgen Setup” link under “Apps & Add-Ons
3.  A setup file is downloaded. It is recommended to run setup using “Run as administrator” option.
4.  QPack Docgen is installed on ~\program files (x86)\QPackClient\QPackDocGen.exe
5.  Run the setup

 
Running the application
The application should be always run in “Run as Administrator”.
DocGen window will open successfully.

All items will display properly now.
