One of our users cannot seem to edit Risk items under the Risk Management System documents or even add items.

If a user (with correct permissions and license type) in the Orcanos system is unable to edit or add risk items under the Risk Management System documents, there are several troubleshooting steps you can take to resolve the issue. Here’s a step-by-step guide:

  1. Check user permissions: Ensure the user has the necessary permissions to edit and add risk items. Verify that their user role has the appropriate access rights within the Orcanos system. Contact your system administrator if needed to confirm the user’s permissions.
  2. Review document settings: Check the document settings for the Risk Management System. Ensure the document is not locked for editing or restricted to certain users only. Verify that the user in question has been granted access to the specific document.
  3. Verify user login: Confirm that the user is logged into the Orcanos system with the correct credentials. Sometimes, a simple logout and login can help resolve authentication-related issues.
  4. Clear browser cache: Suggest the user clear their browser cache and cookies. Sometimes, outdated or corrupted cache files can cause system functionality issues.
  5. Try a different browser or device: Ask the user to try accessing the Orcanos system using a different web browser or device. This helps determine if the problem is specific to their current browser or device.
  6. Check for system issues: Contact the Orcanos system support team or check their official website or forums for any reported system issues or maintenance activities. It’s possible that the problem is not specific to the user but rather a system-wide issue.
  7. Report the problem: If none of the above steps resolve the issue, the user should report the problem to the system administrator or support team. Provide them with detailed information about the problem, including any error messages or steps to reproduce the issue. This will help the support team investigate and address the problem more effectively.

By following these troubleshooting steps, you should be able to identify and resolve the issue that prevents the user from editing or adding risk items in the Orcanos Risk Management System.
