Work Items

OVERVIEW

Orcanos empowers users to create their own work items and efficiently manage them.

The Show/Hide selection box allows users to reveal or conceal work items within the system.

ADDING A NEW WORK ITEM
  • Select Work Items in System Customization under Admin. 
  • Click the Add Icon located at the bottom of the Work Items Page.
  • This action opens a Manage Work Item pop-up, allowing input for the Description and Code of the new Work Item.
  • Choose an icon from the provided list. Work items icons selection is limited to 6 pre-defined icons.
  • Press Save button.
UPDATING A WORK ITEM
  • Click the Edit icon corresponding to the desired work item in the Action Column.
  • Update the Code and Description fields.
  • Press Save to confirm your changes.

The updated data gets reflected in the Custom Code and User Description Column in the work items grid.

Restore to Default icon gets displayed on the action column for the updated work items. It enables users to revert any modifications made to the work items back to their original settings.

CLONE WORK ITEM

The work Item Cloning feature is here to speed your workflow when dealing with similar forms with slight variations.

  • Click on the Clone icon in the Action Column corresponding to the desired work item, to create a copy
  • Update the Code and Description fields in Clone Work Item pop-up.
  • Press Save to confirm your changes.
SYSTEM WORK ITEMS

System work items are crucial for maintaining the integrity of the platform.

Options to Edit, Clone and Restore to Default icons are not available for these work items. Additionally, the option to Change Icon is also not available.

Hovering over the icon, the system will display System icon as a tooltip.

SHOWING/HIDING TABS FOR WORK ITEMS
  • Click on the Work Item Code Hyperlink to access the work item Details Page.
  • Select the Tabs Tab.

A list of tabs for the selected work item gets displayed. Toggle the checkboxes to show or hide the Tabs for the Work Item type.
