OVERVIEW
Allow Download Obsolete Revision Permission allows the user to Download the Obsolete DMS Revisions. It displays Download/View PDF, Uncontrolled Download icon in the Actions column in Revision section. This option is specific to DMS Work Items.
HOW TO ENABLE/DISABLE ALLOW DOWNLOAD OBSOLETE REVISION PERMISSION:
To enable or disable Allow Download Obsolete Revision permission, user need to follow simple steps
- Select the Groups from Users & Groups in Admin (Make sure user select the group related to a required project and a user)
- Click on the View icon against the Group you want to update the permission
- Select the Work Item Permissions tab
- Select DMS Item from the selection list.
- Select the checkbox for ‘Allow Download Obsolete Revision‘ option.
The user can see either the Download icon or the View PDF icon, depending on the type of revision file added.
- To remove the permission, uncheck the checkbox for ‘Allow Download Obsolete Revision‘ option.
The user cannot see the Download icon or the View PDF icon.
The Uncontrolled Download icon is always displayed for Obsolete Revisions, regardless of the permissions assigned.
