OVERVIEW:
This option allows users to duplicate a work item under the same parent in the product tree, making it easier to add similar items.
The duplicate option is only enabled if user has Add Work Item permission
HOW TO DUPLICATE AN ITEM:
- In Tree view, right-click the item and select Duplicate Item option
- Duplicate Items pop-up opens with the following fields:
- Number of Copies – Specify the desired quantity (A maximum of 100 copies at a time can be created).
- Item Name – The default name of the selected item gets displayed, but you can modify it.
- Starting Number – Defaults to 1, but can be adjusted as needed.
- Click Duplicate to complete the process.
Only the immediate children of the selected item gets duplicated.
All attachments and URLs are copied in the duplication.
Traced items are copied only if both their source and target items are within the selected Parent node.
