OVERIVEW
You can add a user to group when the group is created or you can add an user to an existing group.
HOW TO ADD A USER TO A NEW GROUP
- Select Groups from Admin > Users & Groups
- Click on Add icon to create a new group. Refer Add and Manage group for adding a new group.
- Once the group is created, the Group Details page is displayed.
- Click Users tab.
- Click Add Icon to add new users.
- On Add Users pop-up, select one or more users
- Press Save Button
User can Check all / Uncheck all to select or deselect all the users. You can also enter the name of the user to list the similar usernames
HOW TO ADD USER FROM GROUP’S GRID
- From the Group Listing Page, Select the option Add Users from the Action Column
- On Add Users pop-up, select one or more users
- Press Save Button
HOW TO ADD ALL USERS OF A GROUP TO A PROJECT
- From the Group Listing Page, Select the option Add all users to project from More Actions (3 Dots listed on the top right side of the page)
- Select the Project from the selection list in the Add all users to project pop-up
- Press Connect Button
All the users who are not connected to the selected project gets the project assigned associated with the selected group
REMOVING A USER FROM A GROUP
- Select Groups from Admin > Users & Groups
- Click on View icon corresponding to the Group
- Select the Users Tab
- Click on Remove Icon in the Actions Column
In case user is linked to any project, the message “There are active projects (PROJECT_NAMES) related to this user with selected group. You can’t remove this User.” gets displayed
In case, user gets this message
- Click on User name hyperlink
- User details page gets opened in a new tab
- Select the Projects tab
- Select all projects which are linked to the Group from which we want to remove the user
- Select the Change Group option from More Actions(3 dots on the top right side of the page)
- Select another group for the projects and press Save Button
Now go back on the Users tab of the Group
- Click on Remove Icon in the Actions Column
