OVERVIEW
System Filters in Orcanos are a set of pre-defined filters created to ease the task of filtering the records for specified conditions that are commonly used.
Users can also create their own Filters and set them as System Filter to be used.
Only the Orcanos.tech user has access to the System Filters in Admin.
HOW TO SET A NORMAL FILTER AS A SYSTEM FILTER
In order to set the normal Filter as System Filter, follow simple steps mentioned below
- Firstly, Create a Filter in work items as usual
- Login with orcanos.tech user credentials
- Select System Filters under System Configuration in Admin menu
- Update the ‘System Filter’ checkbox against the Filter to be marked as System Filter
- Columns on the System Filters page
- ID: Unique identifier for the filter.
- Filter Name: The name assigned to the filter.
- System Filter (Checkbox): Checked if it’s a system-defined filter; unchecked if it’s a custom filter.
- Filter Owner: The creator or owner of the filter.
- Visibility: Specifies who can view the filter – options include Private, Public, or Shared with Groups based on access rights.
- Project Scope: Indicates if the filter applies to a specific project or solution, or to all projects.
- Filter Target: Indicates if the filter applies to a specific work item or all work items.
Selected Filter are marked as System Filter
- Unchecking the System Filter checkbox reverts it to a Normal Filter
System Filters cannot be Updated or Deleted in Filters section
